Oryx arrived in our care after his owner passed away. He was underweight and missing fur with itchy, scaly skin. Despite the challenges he faced, he was a delight from the moment we met him. Our veterinarians created a care plan to help him safely gain weight and provided medicated baths, antibiotics, and antibacterials to help regrow his beautiful coat. As the weeks passed, he regained an impressive 17 pounds, his fur began to grow back, and he was ready to find his next loving home. This lovable goofball quickly met a family who fell in love with him just like we did. ❤
Over the course of a year, we serve more than 65,000 animals and families. Thousands of animals come through our doors who require varying degrees of treatment, from simple vaccinations to life-saving surgery and extended periods of therapy. As animals heal and await adoption, we’ll meet whatever other needs they have, too. But as you can imagine, the expenses really add up!
