Julian has a playful yet relaxed personality, making him a great balance of energy and calmness. He enjoys interactive activities such as playing catch and tug-of-war, but is also content to lounge around and relax when he's not engaged in play. As a hound, he especially enjoys spending time outdoors sniffing and exploring his surroundings. In our home he is fully potty trained and has proven to be very reliable, even when left unsupervised for extended periods of time. He can be trusted outside of a crate, provided that valuable or chewable items are kept out of reach.

While he is generally well-behaved, there are a few behavioral traits to note. He has a fear of doors, although this has improved over time. He can also become startled if people move too quickly or approach too closely, so he benefits from a calm and patient environment. Additionally, he shows strong curiosity toward small wildlife, especially rabbits, so it is important to keep him on a secure leash during walks.

Overall, he is a loving, curious, and well-mannered dog who would thrive in a home that provides both playtime and a calm, understanding atmosphere.
