Savage - Benchwarmer!

This dog is one of the many wonderful animals available for adoption at WHS. Despite their great looks and lovable personality, they have not found a new home yet and have become a benchwarmer. To get them back in the game and into a home, we have reduced their adoption fee. We know they will make a great addition to someone’s family – come meet them today!

From the foster parent:

Meet Savage :
Don't let his name fool you, this sweet guy is 100% Good Boy material! Savvy is a low-riding little muscle man with a goofy streak and a serious love for cuddles and snacks. He's the kind of dog who will have you laughing daily - whether he's hilariously chasing his own tail or forgetting to put his tongue back in his mouth. While Savvy can be laid back and content to relax, he also has short bursts of joyful zoomies that are pure comedy gold. His adorably awkward body never slows him down - he fully commits to having a good time, no matter what.
In our home, Savvy is a very good boy in his crate, walks nicely on leash, and is making great progress with potty training. He's a quick learner and highly food motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. He's also a quiet, easy companion with a talent for keeping himself occupied - whether that's curling up for a nap, tossing around plush toys, or settling in with a tough chew. He's curious about what his people are up to but has shown no destructive behavior toward household items. Savvy has earned himself couch privileges at night thanks to his excellent manners, and he's proven to be non-reactive around resident dogs when separated by a barrier. He's been an absolute pleasure to foster and brings so much joy to everyone around him. Savvy will make a loving, hilarious, and devoted companion for someone very lucky one day. Until then, we feel incredibly blessed to have him with us as we search for his future family.

Please Note

Every animal is an individual and WHS works hard to make great matches for our animals and adopters.  Some animals may have placement restrictions or requirements established by WHS based on shelter observations and previous home histories.  When meeting with your adoption counselor, they review each animal’s medical, behavior, and placement needs with you to help you find an animal who is compatible with your home environment and your lifestyle.  There are no time limits at WHS, all animals in adoption have as long as it takes to find a new loving home.  Stop in and speak with our adoption counseling team today – we look forward to meeting with you.
