Diamond
Diamond recently spent some time in one of our wonderful foster homes. Here is what her foster parent had to say about her:
Diamond is a sweet, affectionate, gorgeous girl who loves to cuddle. Her favorite spot will be on your chest while you read in bed (you didn't really want to see that book, did you?) or next to you while you sleep. She loves to be petted, although she has her boundaries. She will inform you - with gentle bites - that that is enough touching thank you very much.
She gets the zoomies occasionally, but most of the time, she wants to hang out in the window, watching the birds, or to sit next to you while you do whatever. If you close a door between the two of you, she will express her sadness and longing for you in a tiny high voice and then she will stick her paw under the door in an attempt to engage you and make you feel sorry enough for her that you let her in.
She has the curiosity of a kitten - she will definitely investigate any open cupboard - but the laziness of an older cat, which means you can leave human food unattended on the counter without worry.
She startles easily at sudden noises - like someone coming down the stairs - but then relaxes immediately once the noise stops. She does not mind the vacuum cleaner.
She likes calm, quiet company almost all the time and would probably prefer an older person who is home all day.
She eats kibble enthusiastically and has great toilet habits.
