Rosie

Rosie is currently available for adoption from the comfort of a foster home. Here is what her current foster family has to say about her:
Rosie is a sweet girl with lots of love to give! She has a lot of energy and loves to play with sticks, balls, and toys, but is equally happy to snuggle on the couch and give you kisses. She is very curious and is ready to explore the world with you.
For more information about adopting Rosie, please reach out to her foster at emilyfosters006@gmail.com

Here is what Rosie's first foster family had to say about her:
She's cuddly, she's cute, from her tan boots to the white tip of her tail. Rosie is ready to be the newest member of your family - and will give you tons of kisses in return. She's kid friendly; in her foster home, she lived with an 11 month old baby and met other kids up to 9 years old. With kids, Rosie isn't much of a jumper or biter, which is perfect for smaller children (you just have to avoid her creeping up on you for the best snuggles and face licks). With adults, Rosie will jump up for affection but is working on being more polite. Rosie lived in foster with a 2 year old dog and they loved playing wrestle and chase, with some attempts at fetch. She can also self entertain with bones, stuffed animals, and cardboard boxes. Rosie was interested in the couple cats that she met but didn't show an extreme prey drive. She's still working on potty training (a schedule/routine will help) but she has done excellent in her crate with minimal whining and no accidents. In her crate, Rosie made it 2.5 hours alone during the day and the entire night through (though she's such a snuggle bug, she'd surely be happy to be on your bed too). For a puppy, she's pretty respectful of knowing which items are hers (versus chewing on children's toys or furniture) and she is quick to respond to a "no" or "nuh uh" when caught scurrying away with something. When she gets nervous, Rosie pancakes - it's adorable but for now she needs to be lifted in and out of the oh-so-high car (once she's in, she rides great in our SUV's trunk). Rosie is a sweetie, please come and meet her!

Every animal is an individual and WHS works hard to make great matches for our animals and adopters.  Some animals may have placement restrictions or requirements established by WHS based on shelter observations and previous home histories.  When meeting with your adoption counselor, they review each animal’s medical, behavior, and placement needs with you to help you find an animal who is compatible with your home environment and your lifestyle.  There are no time limits at WHS, all animals in adoption have as long as it takes to find a new loving home.  Stop in and speak with our adoption counseling team today – we look forward to meeting with you.
