We share our habitats with a dazzling array of bird species that call Wisconsin home seasonally or year-round. They are hard at work acting as natural pest controllers, pollinators, and seed dispersers, all of which benefit our ecosystem and local biodiversity. Yet our modern-day advances as humans have created a wealth of hazardous and even deadly challenges for them on a daily basis.
Thankfully, there are ways we can try to minimize our impact on these avian friends and make our homes, classrooms, gardens, and businesses more bird-friendly.
