Open to everyone, whether your dog is a WHS alum or not, we offer Manners Classes at our Milwaukee, Racine, and Ozaukee campuses. This class uses reward-based training techniques and focuses on building the bond between dogs and their owners, relaxation in new spaces, and basic manners.
Age: Dogs 4 months and older
Course length: Once a week for 6 weeks
In this class, we will introduce basic learning theory to owners so that they can effectively troubleshoot behavior concerns beyond the end of the class. We will focus on helping dogs learn the skills to relax in new spaces and offer their owners attention, as well as the foundation for sit, down, stay, walking nicely on leash, coming when called, and relaxation around food. Each week, we will reserve a few minutes to discuss common behavior concerns and how to approach them with positive reinforcement-based training and effective management.
