Other Ways to Give

Here are a few more unique ways you can help animals and families served by the Wisconsin Humane Society!

Donate your cell phone and tablets!

Wondering what to do with your old smartphone, cell phone, or tablet?

Don’t throw it away – your old devices can benefit WHS! We participate in a cell phone recycling program, which helps protect the environment by keeping these recyclable items out of landfills with the added bonus of earning funds to help the animals and families we serve.

Accepted devices include smartphones, cell phones, and iPads/tablets with cases removed. Devices do not have to work to be donated!
This program DOES NOT accept chargers, computers, laptops, printers, modems, GPS devices, home phones, gaming devices, or digital cameras.

Donating is easy! Simply drop off your phone or tablet during our open hours. If you have any questions, please contact our Development Department at 414-431-6175 or via email.

Cans for cash in Door County!

Recyclable cans are accepted at our Door County Campus! The large collection trailer is located at the end of the driveway in the parking lot, courtesy of Metals America.

Metals America also accepts aluminum siding, brass, car batteries, cast iron, clean aluminum, copper, lead, metal, stainless steel, steel, and tin at their facility located at 943 S. Duluth Avenue in Sturgeon Bay. Make sure to say your recyclables are to support the animals at WHS!
