Comments from foster – "Mr. Peabody is a sweet, gentle, and handsome cat who will win you over if you give him a little time to show you who he really is. Mr. P is very timid, and his past has taught him not to trust people quickly or easily. When he first comes home, he may spend a week or two tucked away in a safe corner, quietly observing life around him. He may cautiously sniff your hand and simply tolerate being petted at first.
But give him time, patience, and consistency, and you'll get to watch a wonderful transformation. Little by little, Mr. P will begin venturing out to explore. Soon, instead of merely tolerating your touch, he'll lean into your pets-and eventually, he'll even come over when you call him. The way to Mr. P's heart involves plenty of treats, plenty of gentle pets, and, most importantly, patience and consistency.
