For a shelter break, our family took Chase on a riverside hike. He walked beautifully without pulling and was comfortable with our toddler's stroller and all the activity of the trail and park. He was friendly with our toddler, took treats from him nicely and wasn't scared off by him crying. Chase passed dogs from a distance and didn't react. He gave big wiggly tail wags to some passerbys who stopped to say hello. He was curious and enjoyed wading across the river, though he didn't seem to care about toys or balls. Chase loved his treats and pup cup and was very interested in our picnic lunch, putting his front paws up on the bench to try to snag some of it (so he's treat motivated but might need some gentle reminders to keep his paws on the floor). Overall, Chase is a very loving, affectionate dog who would enjoy an active family.
