Sweetie is available for adoption through her foster home. Here is what her foster parent has to say about her:

"Sweetie is a beautiful girl who is coming out of her shell slowly but surely! She is very low-maintenance!

She loves to hang out in a little domed cat bed on and off or under the bed throughout the day but will come out once in a while to say hi and then definitely whenever it is time to eat!

She looovvves canned food, seemingly most types, but she also it's dry food out of an automatic dispenser so she likes a balanced diet.

She is usually up at night playing with toys on her own and running around but hasn't gotten into trouble with jumping on counters or anything like that.

She has warmed up more and more each day and is seeking affection and meowing to try to chat with me. She is still a bit skittish and it took her a little while to get to where she is at but I think that's just a sign that she's a regular cat!

She likes to gets pets and be scratched now but has a history of overstimulation with petting so I proceed slowly until she shows signs of it being too much.

She has some thinner hair on her rear and back legs, which might have been from stress-related overgrooming in the past. You can see it in the video but it makes her look a kind of scraggly cute, It's hard to get good pics of her because of her color and maybe my lighting but her hair is a very shiny black otherwise! I have not seen her overgrooming at all.

She is also using the litter box consistently with zero incidents or accidents! And, she hasn't scratched anything up or had issues with hairballs.

I think she is afraid of my dogs but I keep her in a separate room that they don't have access to so she hasn't had the chance to see them unless they walk by. She needs slow cat introductions and has a history of hissing at one male cat in her last home but ignoring the other.

Please reach out if you are interested! A video chat for a meet-and-greet would probably be best for her because of her shyness but I am glad to bring her over if you think you want to adopt her straight away."
