Telethon for WHS
FOX6 & Wisconsin Humane Society's Pet Telethon
Friday, March 23, 2018 | 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Broadcast live from FOX6 News studios in Brown Deer
The Wisconsin Humane Society is excited to announce our inaugural telethon to benefit homeless animals in our community! The Pet Telethon will be broadcast live on FOX6 News (WITI-TV) in Milwaukee from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23, reaching an audience of about 175,000 viewers. In addition to live in-studio segments, Carl Deffenbaugh from FOX6 will be broadcasting live from the WHS Milwaukee Campus throughout the day. The telethon media channels will also include our website, social media, E-mail, postcard mailing, and text.
Our goal is to raise $75,000 in donations and $30,000 in corporate support. Proceeds will go directly toward supporting local animals in the community. The Wisconsin Humane Society annually serves 40,000 animals and does not receive any general government funding and is not part of any national umbrella group.
The phone bank will be staffed by corporate supporters and volunteers. Puppies and other animals will be showcased throughout the broadcasts to help inspire support for our work.
Stay tuned for more details!
