Be a part of WHS's sidewalk of the stars
Bordering the walkways of the main entrances at our Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Racine Campuses are personalized bricks featuring tributes to well-loved people and animals. The bricks provide a great opportunity to honor or memorialize a family member, friend or animal companion while supporting the lifesaving work of WHS. Bricks come in two sizes:
- A gift of $250.00 will fund a 4" x 8" personalized brick, and
- A gift of $500.00 will fund an 8" x 8" personalized brick.
To fill out a brick order form, click here. After you have submitted your completed form, you will be contacted by the WHS Development Department for us to retrieve payment and to review the order form. You may also call us directly at (414) 431-6270 to order a brick or to have your questions answered!Back To Top
Many employers sponsor annual workplace giving campaigns through which employees can elect to make payroll deductions to selected charities. Others will make a gift in honor of an employee's volunteer service hours. There are many ways local businesses support the Wisconsin Humane Society. Ask your HR department if your company participates in these programs and if not, encourage your employer to give back through workplace giving. If you have any questions, please contact Jenny Mueller. Thank you for your support!
Many generous employers in the Milwaukee area encourage charitable contributions by matching your gift dollar for dollar. Companies such as Harley Davidson, Assurant Health, Johnson Controls and many others participate in matching gifts programs and make a positive impact in our community. Check with your company to find out if they offer this great opportunity!
Company Grants for Volunteer Service
Some employers will give grants to organizations where their employees volunteer. Ask your Human Resources department if this is available at your company and how you can take advantage of this opportunity to help us even more.
Does your company participate in United Way or Community Shares?
If your employer participates in a United Way or Community Shares workplace giving campaign, you can support Wisconsin Humane Society through simple payroll deduction! WHS is proud to be a Community Shares Member Organization, and though we are not listed as a United Way agency, you may select “Donors Choice” and designate your dollars by writing in “Wisconsin Humane Society” on your pledge form.
Work For a Government Agency?
If so, you may be able to give to WHS through payroll deduction in your Combined Giving Campaign. Encourage your co-workers to designate their pledge to WHS, too - oftentimes, the biggest reason people don’t give is that they aren’t asked. Find our organization information easily by looking under the “Community Shares” umbrella in the pledge brochure. Thank you!Back To Top

Losing a beloved companion animal can be incredibly difficult, but sharing memories of your friend is a touching way to honor his or her presence in your life.
These memorial pages celebrate the joy, love and meaning that companion animals bring to our lives.
The Wisconsin Humane Society offers these custom-created webpages to serve as memorials for our companions. For each $50 donation, we showcase honorees on a webpage with your text and up to five photos. Each page will stay on our website for one year from the date it is published. Because these are custom-created, we will need 2-3 business days to complete each page.
We also offer a permanent resting place for your companion animals. Find out more about purchasing a niche in Lorraine's Garden at the Wisconsin Humane Society.Back To Top

Are you a coffee lover? Purchase delicious coffee from Grounds & Hounds and help the animals at WHS! 20% of the proceeds of anything purchased online from our area, or purchased in-store in Wisconsin, comes back to WHS. If you live outside Wisconsin and want WHS to be the beneficiary, just mention that in the comment section of your order. They believe there is only one thing more enjoyable than a fresh-brewed cup of coffee in the morning, and that is seeing a dog’s wagging tail when you roll out of bed. We could not agree more, and are very grateful to be a rescue partner. Visit http://groundsandhoundscoffee.com to place your order today!Back To Top
