have difficulty finding rental properties for them.
This list identifies apartments in the Metro-Milwaukee
area that are "Animal-Friendly." This list was prepared
by the Wisconsin Humane Society to be used as a
tool for tenants and property managers and is a
free service.
This list has been
compiled to help responsible animal guardians to
find housing. Responsible guardians take full responsibility
for their animals' welfare, including their health,
exercise and companionship needs. Responsible guardians
must also take responsibility for their successful
integration into a community living situation, by
respecting the rights of other tenants and the animal
policies enforced by the property managers. Please
note that the restrictions noted on this list were
taken verbatim from the sources and it is best to
contact the properties directly for accurate information.
WHS does not make specific recommendations of any
properties listed, but provides the list as a source
of pet-friendly housing. The purpose of this list
is to promote housing for cats and dogs, but "caged
animals" are included on the list when the information
was volunteered. Properties that do not list "caged
animals" may allow them, but again, it's best to
call the property directly.
