Current Location: Milwaukee
Is Gigi spayed or neutered? yes
Is Gigi up to date on vaccinations? yes
Why the animal is being rehomed: This cat is very high energy and needs to play and interact with humans. This cat would probably be good for a child; however, the cat does get somewhat aggressive if you play using your hands. This cat loves, loves, loves chasing toys you toss or pretending to be a hunter going after the long string on the pole (like a fishing pole toy). This cat can't get enough of the high energy play.

Where did you get Gigi? Humane Society, Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee
Has Gigi ever bitten someone? Yes
If yes to the above, please explain the circumstances: It's rough play. This cat is not aggressive and meaning to hurt you but this kitty just sometimes overestimates how hard she is biting or clawing.
What, if any, medical or behavioral concerns does Gigi have? This cat spends very little time relaxing. She does sleep through the night but not much during the day.
Has Gigi lived with other animals? Yes
If yes to the above, which animals has Gigi lived with? Love bird
Has Gigi actively fought with other animals in the home? No
If yes to the above, please explain the circumstances: The cat is very intrigued by the bird. Twice the cat has attacked the birdcage and knocked it to the floor. This cat has the instinct to go after the bird.
Does/did Gigi hide from other animals in the home? No
How does Gigi interact with animals outside of the home? This cat is an indoor cat and has never tried to get outside. One time she was in my arms when I opened the front door to get the mail and the cat freaked out to get away. She is definitely an inside cat. She looks out the window and I have not noticed her reacting to outside animals.
Are you requiring that Gigi not go into a family with certain types of pets? No
If yes to the above, please explain which types of pets you are restricting: I have no clue how this cat reacts to other cats or dogs.
Has Gigi lived with any children under 18? No
Gigi has lived with children of these ages: Not that I am aware of. When I adopted her she was 3 years old.
Does/did Gigi hide or avoid children in the home? No
If yes to the above, please explain the circumstances: I'm assuming she will not hide from children as she does not hide from anyone.
Does/did Gigi display any forms of aggression toward children in the home? No
If yes to the above, please explain the circumstances: I've never had children in my home since I've had this cat.
Are you requiring that Gigi not go into a family with children under a certain age? No
If yes to the above, please list your restrictions: Children might be just what this high energy, loves to play cat needs.
Does Gigi have any fears? When I first got the cat she was afraid of the "fishing pole" type toy I tried; she ran and hid. That only lasted until I held her and the toy on my lap and showed her nothing to be afraid of. After that she loves that toy with a passion and wants to play the game all the time.
Gigi's overall activity level: Very active/high energy
How does Gigi usually get exercise? Frequent Runs, Playing indoors,
What should the next family should know about Gigi: This cat definitely wants to be a part of the action and part of everything you do. This cat will follow you to see what you are doing and she loves to interact. I imagine this cat would be so great with a family with kids, she just needs to be trained on when to draw the line on how hard to bite when she is playing. Like I said earlier, I do not think the cat is trying to hurt me, she is just so excited and into the game. I'm old school and not sure how to upload a picture but will have my daughter put on a picture for me shortly. She tuxedo black and white and has amazing eyes. The color of the iris next to the pupil is a beautiful Caribbean blue and the outer iris is green.
