Rita

Rita is a year old and seven pounds. She's available for adoption from her foster home (Bay View area in Milwaukee).

Rita is tiny but not meek. She came right up to me the moment I let her out of the carrier in her foster room. She instantly was rubbing all over my legs and against my hand. She loves having a human in the room, so she gives a hero's welcome when you enter (with plenty of purring). She is fairly vocal and her tiny voice is incredibly adorable. She loves playing with catnip toys and looking out the window. She takes treats very gently and licks the fingers afterwards just to make sure she gets all the flavor.

It is unknown how she is with kids, dogs, or cats at this time. She has briefly seen the resident cats and dog through a gate and it was not love at first sight. There was some hissing and growling, but at the same time she was interested in them. She is isolated so I won't know how she'd do with them.

Her only disclosure is that she was stressed in the shelter so she has been taking gabapentin every 12 hours.

Please send an email to fosteringnick@gmail.com if you think she might be a good match for your home!"
