Pippa is available from a foster home in the Ozaukee county area.

Here's what Pippa's foster family has to say:

Human interactions:
-very friendly, seeks human attention
-likes to cuddle
-doesn't like to be alone, but does well relaxing in a kennel in a room where she can see her human
-she has not been around children during our foster time with her

Dog interactions:
-she loves to play with her 60 lb foster brothers who are pretty rough and tumble
-she initiates wrestling with play bows, jumping up

Potty training:
-doing well with frequent trips outside, often gets distracted and needs help focusing on the task at hand (going to the bathroom)

-has some puppy behaviours like play biting (a lot right now), but is responsive to a high pitched ""ouch!"" and seems to be getting better
-nips at heels of both humans and dogs, is often underfoot so be careful not to step/trip on her
-chews on things but easily redirects to appropriate items (dog toys, etc.) when you swap it out for her
-likes to lay on a comfy dog bed in the kitchen when we're doing things
-calms down well in a kennel with a peanut butter kong or a puzzle toy with treats
-has been losing some of her puppy teeth

Every animal is an individual and WHS works hard to make great matches for our animals and adopters.  Some animals may have placement restrictions or requirements established by WHS based on shelter observations and previous home histories.  When meeting with your adoption counselor, they review each animal’s medical, behavior, and placement needs with you to help you find an animal who is compatible with your home environment and your lifestyle.  There are no time limits at WHS, all animals in adoption have as long as it takes to find a new loving home.  Stop in and speak with our adoption counseling team today – we look forward to meeting with you.
