Nick - Video & Staff Pick!

Nick - Video & Staff Pick!

Nick - Video & Staff Pick!

Emilie chose Nick as her staff pick because he is *the* snuggliest, sweetest boy in the whole world! Once he trusts you, he purrs like a motor and wants nothing more than to be pet and cuddled. He loves giving head butts and is just such a happy-go-lucky guy!

Nick is a young and outgoing cat who also happens to be FIV+. Cats with FIV can live a normal lifespan but due to the virus affecting a cat's immune system, infected cats are more susceptible to secondary infections from bacteria, viruses, protozoa and fungi. Nick is looking for a home where he will be kept indoors, not only prevent the spread of virus to other cats but also to prevent exposure to infectious agents that may harm him outside of the home. There is no treatment for the condition, only management of clinical signs when they present themselves. We know there is someone out there ready to welcome him into their family!

Please Note

Every animal is an individual and WHS works hard to make great matches for our animals and adopters.  Some animals may have placement restrictions or requirements established by WHS based on shelter observations and previous home histories.  When meeting with your adoption counselor, they review each animal’s medical, behavior, and placement needs with you to help you find an animal who is compatible with your home environment and your lifestyle.  There are no time limits at WHS, all animals in adoption have as long as it takes to find a new loving home.  Stop in and speak with our adoption counseling team today – we look forward to meeting with you.
