Marley spent some time with a loving foster family, and this what they would like to share about her: She likes to hide all day (sleeping perhaps) and is pretty active at night. We allowed her to explore the house while we were sleeping and we could tell that she loved it. She would only eat and use the litter pan at night. After about 4-5 days she did seek "a little " interaction in the form of head scratches and some purring. However, she wouldn't ever approach us, we had to approach her. She is grateful to have some scratches, as long as you don't pet her back or behind! We also noted that freedom to move about is best for her, as she loves to roam the house, and doesn't like to be confined.
I would suggest a patient adoptive home environment that is quiet and gives her the freedom and space she needs.
I am a Hidden Treasure just waiting to shine in my new home! I may be super shy when you first meet me, but I'm worth all the coaxing and sweet talk. And after you adopt me, don't be surprised if the first thing I do is investigate all the great places to hide! Not everyone is a confident kitty to start, but with a little love and patience, I'll come out of my turtle shell and it'll be such a rewarding experience for the both of us.
