Checking for Wildlife Before Doing Yard Work

Prevent injuries to baby Cottontails and other small wild animals by checking your lawn and garden before mowing or rototilling. Walk through these areas to make sure no young rabbits or birds are in harm's way.

Our Wildlife Rehabilitation Center admits many young Cottontails and other small animals each year who have been seriously injured when they were run over by a lawn mower, rototiller or line-trimmer.

If you have injured a wild animal, please call (414) 431-6204 immediately for advice.
