Puppy Foster - Looking for a little love?

We are in need of foster parents to open their hearts and homes to nurture mother dogs and their puppies. If you have the time and a little space to help these pooches, please consider becoming a foster parent.

Will you help these precious pups grow up big and strong? They'll also need lots of love and attention. We don’t want to separate the puppies from their moms too soon, so we need your help. Your home will surely be filled with lots of fun and excitement!

If you have companion animals at home already, that is no problem! You will just need a room for the foster animals to keep them separated from your current companion animals. Please consider opening your hearts to these little guys!

If you are interested, please complete a foster application and we'll get you fast tracked to fostering! If you are a current foster volunteer and would like to help out with this special opportunity, please email the foster team.

Weekend Teammates - Feel the Love!

Adoption Avenue is the perfect spot for dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits and other lovely creatures to strut their stuff and audition for a life time of love and companionship. You can be a part of the match making team that helps animals and their new families get off to a great start. So much important information is given to new adopters and you can help to make that process fun and informative. Adoption Teammates work with adopters to provide information about their new furry friend, the care that he or she will need and all of the outstanding services available at the Wisconsin Humane to help them well beyond adoption day.

Since so many people are interested in adopting on Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays, we're currently looking for additional Teammates to fill these action packed time periods. Teammates will learn lots of things about animal health and behavior, disease prevention and our specific adoption program. Don’t miss this great opportunity to send happy animals home with their new families.

Find out how you can become a volunteer!

If you are already a volunteer and can spare a few more hours a week to help in this area, please email our Volunteer Coordinator to let her know.
