Halloween Dog Parade Kicks off Kids Day at WHS

MILWAUKEE – Today at 1:00 p.m., see little lobsters, princesses, rock stars and other dogs-in-disguise strut their stuff at the Wisconsin Humane Society’s annual Halloween parade, which kicks off Kids Day at WHS!

All the dogs in the parade will be walked by cats, so you don’t want to stray from this photo opportunity. Plus, they are all available for adoption at the Wisconsin Humane Society.

The WHS Halloween Parade is one of several fun events offered at the Wisconsin Humane this weekend:

Kids Day at WHS
Bring your kids for some Halloween fun at Kids Day on Friday, October 29. Starting at 2:00 p.m., enjoy pumpkin decorating, a scavenger hunt, temporary tattoos, free candy for every costumed kid, and a coloring contest.

HOWL-O-WEEN Fun for Dogs
We're celebrating the weekend with special activities for dogs on Saturday, October 30. From 12:00 - 3:00 p.m., your dog can enjoy a hay dig, bobbing for hot dogs, tricks for treats and a public costume contest at 1:00 p.m. There will be many dogs and puppies available for adoption, too, so you could even treat your new pal to the fun activities before heading home!

Oompa, Loompa, Doopidy, Doo, We’ve Got a Puppy or Kitten for You
Celebrate a Willy Wonka Weekend. We’re giving away Golden Tickets to some very lucky adopters! Each adopter will have the chance to pick a Kit Kat bar, and 7 bars will have golden tickets entitling the winner to 50% off their adoption fee. This promotion starts Friday.
