Racine, Wis. – On Thursday, January 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Wisconsin Humane Society Racine Campus is hosting an open house for people interesting in becoming foster volunteers. Attendees will enjoy light refreshments, a brief presentation, and an opportunity to meet animals in need of foster homes.

“Baby kittens, puppies and animals with injuries or illness heal so much faster in a home,” said Alison Kleibor, the director of the WHS Racine Campus. “Expanding our foster capacity is a key strategy in our ability to save more lives. We really hope to have a good turnout at next week’s event.”

To ensure enough seating, the shelter is requesting that prospective attendees email Alison at akleibor@wihumane.org with the number attending. Interested people with other animals at home should bring current vaccination records for their animals.
