Wisconsin Humane Society Celebrates 130th with
Adopt-a-Thon & Family Fun
MILWAUKEE – Looking to add a new furry family member to your household? On Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 13, the Wisconsin Humane Society is hosting an Adopt-a-Thon! In celebration of the Wisconsin Humane Society's 130th anniversary, WHS is hoping to place 130 animals in new homes over the weekend, so it's the perfect weekend to stop in and meet adoptable animals. Every adopter will go home with a free gift bag and a chance to win even bigger and better prizes!
On Saturday, September 12, WHS is also inviting dogs and their families to an Open House! There will be interactive activities for dogs, adults and children, including: WHS' Top Model Runway Contest (stylish outfits welcome), Jackson "Paw-lock" Paw Paintings, a bone dig, free seminars, pet photographs by Worzella Photography, spin the wheel for prizes, Portable Pet Groomers blueberry facials and nail trims ...plus more!
In addition, on Friday, September 11 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, September 12-13 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., animals from the Wisconsin Humane Society will also be available for adoption at the PetSmart at 5005 S 74th Street in Greenfield as part of PetSmart Charities® "Second Chance for Love" Fall Adoption Weekend. Visit petsmart.com for more details on their endeavor to help find homes for 18,800 animals nationwide this weekend.
