World’s Cuddliest One Eyed-Jack

MILWAUKEE– Jack was really sick when he arrived at the Wisconsin Humane Society in September 2005. His lungs were so congested that he could hardly breathe and his eye was infected. Over the next few months, WHS’s veterinary staff continued to treat Jack’s eye with a series of medications. They also sent him to stay to a comfortable foster home to recover. Although Jack was relaxed and feeling much better, after repeated check-ups, our vet staff determined that the infection wasn’t getting better and there was no alternative but to remove Jack’s eye. The surgery was performed on March 23 and he is healing nicely and adapting well.

This adorable cat is just one of thousands of cases where the Wisconsin Humane Society provides the vital medical care to all adoptable animals. If you would like to meet Jack or obtain more information about him, please call us at (414) ANIMALS. Additional information about the Wisconsin Humane Society can be obtained by visiting www.wihumane.org.
