MEDIA ALERT
The killing of a black lab puppy shocked many animal lovers in the community last weekend. The 8-month old puppy was stabbed to death by guardian Richard Linski because the puppy had an accident on the carpet. Linski was allegedly drunk and flew in to a rage, grabbing a knife and stabbing the dog to death. Linski was arrested Saturday and will be in court for his preliminary hearing next Wednesday.
The Wisconsin Humane Society urges the public to attend the hearing and contact court officials to ensure that Linski doesn’t get just a slap on the wrist for this abhorrent crime. The link between animal and domestic abuse is well-documented and the court has a duty to protect the community from offenders like Linksi.
