CALENDAR OF EVENTS LISTINGS

MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Humane Society is offering two exciting new classes in December! Registration is limited, so visit www.wihumane.org to register online today.

Prepping for Puppy
Thinking of getting a new puppy? Join the Wisconsin Humane Society on Monday, December 10 from 6:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. for a discussion about puppy behavior. This class covers everything you need to know before bringing home that new puppy. Topics will include: house training, chewing, feeding, exercise and basic puppy behavior. There will be plenty of opportunity to get your questions answered! Also in attendance will be a WHS puppy to “demonstrate” puppy antics.

Stop The Pulling! A Lesson in Loose Leash Walking
Does your dog take YOU for a walk? Are you tired of being embarrassed in front of the neighbors due to your dog’s lack of good walking manners? If so, it’s time for you to take an hour out of your schedule and bring your dog to the Wisconsin Humane Society’s "Stop the Pulling!" workshop on Monday, December 17, 2007 from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Teach your dog to walk on a leash without pulling in this game-like lesson using reward-based training. This class is for dogs of all ages who need some extra assistance walking politely on leash. This class is limited to 8 participants and is filling up quickly, so check online NOW to see if there is still room available.

WHS also offers a variety of classes and seminars for animal lovers, as well as behavior consultations to assist guardians with specific behavior issues. For more information, contact the Wisconsin Humane Society at www. wihumane.org or call (414) ANIMALS. If you have a behavior question, you are also welcome to call our Behavior Line at (414) 431-6173 to leave a message; an animal behavior specialist will return your call within 24 hours during business hours.
