Kitty
Miraculously Survives Horrific Case of Neglect
MILWAUKEE
– Keeping a collar on a cat that doesn't
fit for weeks to the point where the collar becomes
embedded in the cat's neck and armpit is unthinkable.
Unfortunately, this horrific case of neglect is
exactly what happened to Kitty.
Kindness was
just out of reach for this little feline; until
one brave individual found the cat and learned that
Kitty was thrown outside to be left alone and without
a safe place to call home.
The Good Samaritan
brought 4-year-old Kitty to the Wisconsin Humane
Society. Upon arrival, Kitty was skittish and uncomfortable
at first as WHS veterinarian staff removed her grotesquely
embedded collar.
While Kitty resides
at WHS, she is receiving all of the tender loving
care possible. Although only time will fade the
scar around her neck, Kitty is slowly learning how
to trust people again.
Wonderful transformations
occur every day at the Wisconsin Humane Society
where cats like Kitty receive extra special attention.
Because of these special transformations, Kitty's
future looks promising and, in just a couple of
weeks, she will be ready to be adopted.
