MILWAUKEE
– There's an exciting new partnership
with the Wisconsin Humane Society and The Task Force
on Family Violence of Milwaukee, Inc. aimed at strengthening
relationships within families, and it occurs July
18 at 4:30 p.m.! Building Humane Families is a seven-week
program held at the Wisconsin Humane Society that
targets both two-legged and four-legged members
of the family.
Building Humane
Families is a proactive effort to promote positive
parenting and educate children about developing
healthy relationships with others. As valued members
of the family, animals play a vital role in the
program by helping to promote important messages
of empathy and kindness. Families are referred by
social service agencies; there is no charge for
participants and transportation and child care are
provided if needed.
