CALENDAR OF EVENTS LISTING

MILWAUKEE – In response to numerous requests, the Wisconsin Humane Society will host a PET FIRST AID class at its Milwaukee facility, 4500 W. Wisconsin Avenue. The class will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. Advance registration is required. There is a $40.00 fee for this class which includes a Pet First Aid book. The class will be presented by Dr. Ron Beatty, owner of My Pet’s Vet. Instruction will cover CPR, recognizing and treating shock, seizure, poisoning, heatstroke, hypothermia and other common conditions affecting our pets.

First aid is the immediate and temporary care given to pets who suffer sudden illness or injury and can often save a pet’s life. Every pet guardian should know what to do until professional veterinary care is available.

If you'd like to attend this event you can purchase tickets online at www.wihumane.org or call (414) ANIMALS for more information.
