Annabelle's
?Tail? in Need of a Happy Ending
MILWAUKEE
? Annabelle arrived at the Wisconsin Humane
Society clearly in pain. This 1.5-year-old domestic
medium haired feline had a tail that was hanging
by a thread. In fact, Annabelle was in so much discomfort
that she tried biting her own tail off to relieve
the pain.
While it is unknown
what happened to Annabelle's tail ? whether she
experienced some sort of trauma such as a door closing
on her tail or if she was deliberately injured ?
one thing is known for certain: WHS veterinarian
staff is taking good care of her and ensuring she
is on the right road to recovery.
Luckily, for
Annabelle, the caring team at WHS knew just how
to help. Unfortunately, help only meant one thing
? completely removing her tail. Not only did Annabelle
receive this immediate surgery, she also got the
tests, medicine, plenty of nutritious food and fresh
water as well as extra TLC to ensure her stay at
WHS was as comfortable as possible.
Today, Annabelle
was given the approval of WHS veterinarians to become
available for adoption. She is hoping to have a
happy ending and be adopted by a guardian who understands
Annabelle's ?tail? and is willing to give her plenty
of love and affection that she so rightly deserves.
