Save a Life, Adopt a Feline
Saving More Lives through the ASPCA Challenge
MILWAUKEE – This weekend is a great time to adopt an adult cat from the Wisconsin Humane Society. There are currently many affectionate felines available for adoption, and some great incentives to adopt!
From August 13 through 15, anyone adopting an adult cat will have the opportunity to pick a coupon for a discount of 5-15% off their entire purchase in Animal Antics, the Wisconsin Humane Society retail store. Adopters will be able to take home goodies for their new adult cat companion in a beautifully designed and ecologically minded recycled tote bag. The Wisconsin Humane Society is hoping to find homes for 55 felines this weekend.
During August, September, and October, the Wisconsin and Ozaukee Humane Societies are competing together against 49 other animal shelters across the country in the Save More Lives – ASPCA $100K Challenge. The goal is to save more lives this fall.
WHS and OHS have set an overall goal of 3,040 lives saved for the three-month challenge. $100,000 will go to the shelter that achieves the greatest increase in lives saved. $25,000 will go to the shelter that engages the largest number of members of the community who help in saving more lives.
