Wisconsin Humane Society announces
“50K Community Cares Challenge”
Shelter animals to receive $50,000 if 500 animals are adopted in September
Milwaukee and Saukville, Wis. – Wisconsin Humane Society officials announced today that local philanthropist Stan Kass will donate $50,000 to the organization if their Milwaukee and Ozaukee shelters can find homes for 500 animals in the month of September.
“We are so thankful to Stan for his generosity, which he also hopes will inspire the whole community to show just how much they care about homeless animals,” said Anne Reed, WHS’s executive director. “Whether you’re able to adopt a homeless animal, or make a gift to WHS, we know that Southeastern Wisconsin can step up to the challenge and make a difference in the lives of countless animals in our community.”
During September, WHS will be taking pictures with adopters to post to a special Facebook album and share with our online community. Help WHS reach the goal of 500 adoptions by sharing the news of this special challenge that will save the lives of so many animals!
