WHS is excited to be hosting our first ever 24-hour adoption event as part of the ASPCA® Mega Match-a-thon National Shelter Pet Adoption Event!

Our goal is to find homes for 150 animals in just ONE day!

Every adoption will be matched with a $100 donation to WHS from local philanthropist Stan Kass!

Will there be anything special going on? You bet! We'll have games, prizes, insomniac specials, and a whole lot more. We'll be sure to post any fun new additions to the timeline as they're confirmed.

Is there anything I can do in advance to prepare for my adoption during the event? Yes! Preparing in the following ways will help ensure that your experience during the actual adopt-a-thon is a quick and pleasant one:

• We encourage people to stop in for a pre-visit with a counselor in the days leading up to the event.
• In addition to this, we ask that you fill out an adopter profile before arriving. (Click here for dog, cat, rabbit, bird or petite pal forms)
• Please know in advance that we are unable to place holds on any animals for the duration of the adopt-a-thon.
  

Can I attend if I'm not adopting? Definitely! Anyone is welcome to join the festivities. The lobby will likely be crowded, so it may be best to leave your resident dog at home for this particular event.
