Cornmeal Dog Biscuits
Just like people, dogs love home cooking. These dog biscuits are tasty and healthy, and will have your pup begging for more. Remember, treats should be fed in moderation as a supplement to a well-balanced diet.

What you need:

1 cup of whole wheat flour
1 cup cornmeal
½ cup nonfat dry milk powder
4 tablespoons margarine
½ cup bulgur, cooked
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup water
¼ cup finely chopped fresh parsley
* flavoring, such as garlic powder

What you do:

Mix flour, cornmeal, milk powder, baking powder, and garlic powder. Cut in margarine. Mix in bulgur and parsley. Slowly add water until dough is well combined, it will be sticky. Work dough into a ½ inch thick piece or thinner form which biscuits are prepared with biscuit or cookie cutter, or cut into small snack sized squares. Add flour to the board to prevent sticking. Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove biscuits from oven and allow them to cool for 1 ½ to 2 hours. Store in refrigerator or freezer.

* Certain foods and flavorings, such as chocolate, nuts, onions, nutmeg, and raw eggs are poisonous to dogs and should never be used. Check with your veterinarian if you are unsure of using an ingredient.
