2010 Be Kind to Animals Celebration

Be Kind to Animals Week was started in 1915 by the American Humane Association and serves as a reminder of the debt humankind owes to animals, both wild and companion. Every spring, the Wisconsin Humane Society sponsors a contest in which local children illustrate ways to be kind to animals.

Special thanks to Molly Fay from WTMJ4's The Morning Blend, and her eldest daughter, for co-emceeing the event. You did a fabulous job! Our appreciation also goes to Bridget Kirkish, for helping hand out the awards and keeping those winners smiling for their photos!

Below are photos of this year's talented winners, as well as adults who were honored for their contributions to animals.
