Announcing the Wisconsin Humane Society's

Be Kind to Animals Week
Poster, Poetry, and Photography Contest
Kindness Unleashed

Be Kind to Animals Week is the oldest celebrated week in the nation! Recognized officially by the 108th Congress in 1915, this special week continues to remind us of the things animals do to enhance our lives.

The theme for 2011 is “Kindness Unleashed!” Just think of how great the world could be if we all “unleashed” the kindness that is inside each of us! We could work together to make a world that is wonderful for animals and people alike! This year's theme, "Kindness Unleashed," is about illustrating ways that we can unleash our inner kindness and make this world a better, safer and more humane place for animals in our community.

Each year, the Wisconsin Humane Society encourages young people to join our celebration by entering our Poster, Poetry and Photography Contests.

All winners were recognized at a special ceremony held at the Wisconsin Humane Society in anticipation of Be Kind to Animals Week in May. Check out our winning entries!
