Adoption Counselor

 

The Wisconsin Humane Society has an opportunity for an individual who is reliable, professional and self-starting to join our Counseling Services team as an Adoption Counselor. Responsibilities include assisting our diverse clientele both in person and over the phone in various ways including:

• Animal adoption
• Adoption follow-ups
• Counseling clients surrendering animals
• Providing education to the public and much more!

This is a fast-paced environment with a competitive salary. Adoption Counselors must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and customer-service oriented. Relationship building skills are essential! Related college degree or equivalent customer service experience is required. Candidates also must be able to work both evenings and weekends. Candidates must be committed to treating animals with respect and kindness. Both full-time and part-time positions are currently available.
