Making a Cat Charmer

Materials:

  • Fleece
  • Scissors
  • Tape measure (if desired)
  • Electrical tap (thin)
  • Wooden dowels

Start by cutting fleece strips that are 1 inch wide by about 24 inches long. This is an ideal length to ensure your cat will get the best play with his or her cat charmer!

Next, take a wooden dowel that is 12 inches to 18 inches in length, a bit shorter than the fleece strip. The dowel should be thin, only about 1/4 inch wide.

Cut a piece of electrical tape about 1 inch long. Attach one end of the electrical tape to the end of the dowel. Make sure that the tape is secured to the dowel; otherwise, the fleece strip is likely to slip off.

Finally, take one fleece strip (approximately 24 inches long) and place the end of the strip on the end of the dowel with the tape. Carefully wrap the remaining tape around the end of the fleece strip until it is fastened securely. Once finished, your strip should dangle freely at the end of the dowel.

Now, your cat charmer is ready to use! Just remember to be a responsible guardian and always supervise play with the cat charmer. You never want to leave your cat unattended with any toys.

We hope you and your feline friends will enjoy!
