This page is dedicated to WHS dogs who need extra help finding new homes. These special needs dogs might need a little extra medical care, modified training, or a particular type of lifestyle in their new homes, but we know that these deserving canines - the neediest dogs at our shelter - will find their way into someone's heart. They certainly have stolen ours!

Meet Pup Pup!

Pup Pup is an energetic, 1-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who is looking for an active family to call his own!

Pup Pup came to WHS from Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission and was in a foster home working on his manners for several weeks. He's working on loose leash walking and has learned to carry a toy in his mouth on walks to help prevent him from mouthing at his leash. Thanks to the extra attention he got from his foster parents, he's made incredible strides and his manners are improving every day!

Pup Pup does very well with other dogs and enjoys a good play session. He absolutely loves enrichment toys, so he's really hoping to find a home filled with them! Like all of our dogs, Pup Pup has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated, so all he needs now is you!

Included in all dog adoptions are spay/neuter surgery, first distemper vaccination, initial deworming, microchip implant, heartworm testing, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, and a 30-day gift of ShelterCare Pet Insurance with a valid email address.

To expedite the adoption process,
please fill out an Adopter Profile before your visit.
