Dr. Pohlman's initial exam of Winkie revealed that the adorable one-eyed dog was buried under a mop of matted unkempt fur. Her teeth were rotting and her nails hadn't been trimmed in months. Later, WHS learned that an act of abuse had caused Winkie to lose her eye.
